A week after South Korean thriller 'Parasite' became the first foreign language film to win the coveted Best Picture award at the 2020 Oscars, Samyang Malaysia made a cheeky tribute to Bong Joon Ho's genre-defying masterpiece.

Samyang's mascots Hochi and friends replaced the Kim and Park families in Parasite's now-iconic movie poster. In place of the Scholar stone, which plays a pivotal symbolic role in the movie, is a packet of Samyang. The post's caption, "Winner winner, Ram-don dinner," is a nod to the Korean comfort food eaten by a character in one of the movie's anxiety-inducing scenes. The dish, like Samyang, is instant noodles.
