ABOUT
Nayamed is a new company that produces pacemakers and defibrillators. They needed a fresh look to match their fresh approach to marketing and distributing medical devices. Webb deVlam developed a comprehensive brand identity which embraced Nayamed’s strapline of ‘Simply does it’ and set the company apart in its category. In a sea of blue and green packaging which denotes sterility but also coolness, Nayamed’s orange dot conveys warmth through colour but also sophistication in form. The dot as a visual device can be magnified, it can stand alone, or it can be a holder of text. It can symbolise a ball in animated imagery, illustrating a flexibility and vitality that is central to Nayamed’s work ethos. The logotype was kept simple using a sans serif typeface and modular font.
“The brand identity of NayaMed has quickly become its personality, giving direction to everything our company does, The famous orange dot was a starting point for all brand activities, however the simplicity and freshness of the concept have seeped into more than marketing materials—they have become the strength of our office culture, our approach to healthcare and everything that NayaMed represents. Webb deVlam took my abstract notions of what NayaMed should resemble and transformed them into a brilliant brand platform; the bedrock upon which we have built a groundbreaking business.”
