This was for the launch of Call Of Duty III Modern Warfare. It was a live event on the Thames, projected onto County Hall. This was a collaborative process from the beginning. We worked closely with the production team, building the edit together as the project went along. We started with a mute early WIP, where the editor had started to put together some shots. From that, we created a tempo click track for them to work to. The sound designer worked to the click, and started to create everything from there. Once we had a tempo we could start programming drums, always a fun part! Whilst Drew (our composer) wrote the strings and orchestral parts, recorded some cello through guitar amps, and put them together. The images were projected as a L/R split screen. As the event got closer, the war in Gaza had started, so, the day before the show we had to remove all the gunshots and explosions, and replace them with drum loops, tom and snare fills. Last minute panic, and pretty full on from start to finish, but great fun.
