ABOUT

How we helped a telecoms giant to join the human race.

Who: Vodafone is one of the world’s leading mobile communications providers with over 444 million customers worldwide. Interestingly the name is a portmanteau of voice, data and phone. They made the first ever mobile phone call on 1 January 1985 from London to their Newbury HQ. Still located in Newbury, they now employ over 13,000 people across the UK.

Why: Rooster Punk where approached by the HR function within Vodafone to develop an internal brand to show their commitment to employee well being. They needed something that would appeal to a diverse employee base and raise the joint issue of both emotional as well as physical well being. A fit and happy work force is a productive workforce.

What: Rooster Punk developed the Nudge brand to help employees nudge themselves and others to be the best they can be. The programme consisted of physical wellbeing initiatives like access to Nuffield health clubs and healthy food options as well as guides and online tools to help embrace mindfulness and meditation techniques. The brand launched at the end of March 2016 with an intranet, employee communications, videos, emails, posters and internal signage.
