For our explainer video we took the purple aesthetic of the existing brand and pushed the visual direction even further. We used a vaporwave inspired vintage overlay combined with a pink and purple color scheme to create the specific style for this video. That background was combined with more modern custom animations to give the video an interesting contrast in style.
Our Execution:After settling on a mind map our lead animator begins his process in Adobe After Effects. He separates the video into 3 primary layers; background animation and text. Each one is constructed individually and combined during the composition phase. An assistant motion designer was brought in to assist in creating some support visuals. Each project can be scaled up and down by incorporating another editor into specific parts of the workflow. Our mind map can be found here.
