Bank of America Merrill Lynch organised an exclusive dinner for a limited number of their high profile clients. This event was held at Casa Batlló in Barcelona, the iconic building designed by Antoni Gaudí.
The brief was to create a printed invitation based on an invitation for a similar event. This example was a single-sided invitation with silver foil-blocked text onto duplex uncoated card.
As well as providing the client with what they were expecting, I saw this as an opportunity to put together an alternative, more creative option and had the idea of designing an invitation which was influenced by the work of Gaudí.
This concept included a custom designed matt laminated envelope which incorporated a mosaic effect design using the brand colour palette, with some of the tiles having
a spot UV finish for added shine. The invitation itself incorporated some detailed imagery of Gaudí’s buildings on one side and had the text and logo debossed on the other. The two sides were then triple mounted with a blue coloured sheet in-between.
