ABOUT
The ATP Cup is an international outdoor hard court men's tennis tournament, which premiered in Australia in January 2020. The event takes place in three Australian cities over the course of 10 days in the lead up to the Australian Open.
For this particulat event, I was commissioned to design a series of style frames for their opener animation, as well as a suite of on-screen graphics. My primary objective was to depict the kinetic energy of a ball, a racquet and a tennis player. The object generates speed trails during acceleration and contact with the tennis court. It passes through from one object to another creating an imaginary map. The use of particles and strings in a context of emotional energy helped me to depict a drama of the game.
