Dave Erasmus lived an experimental year of on-grid / off-grid balanced lifestyle in the woods in southern England while documenting it on his YouTube channel. His documentation and observations became the start of his Corcovado project, leading to the creation of the V1 handbook. I worked closely with Dave from his weekly videos and written/recorded observations to create the A5 handbook to share and develop his concepts of 'Corcovado thinking'. Creating the handbook involved Internet, face-to-face and written correspondence with Dave, in England, as well as collaborating with Virginia, an illustrator based in Spain, and Alex, a printer in Scotland, to complete and distribute the handbooks.

A bespoke font was also created based off of Virginia's handwriting, to compliment her illustrations and balance the formal and informal concepts of the content material. The content was divided into elements, with each element broken up into an introduction, deep dive/discussion, activity, and reflection.

The handbooks were sold and distributed online to members of Dave's global community, at his live tour events in conjunction with a short documentary film made, and used at workshop days and weekends in the woods.
