APPLICATION FOR THE POSITION OF AN AVID EDITOR
I am writing to express my keen interest in the role of an Avid Editor as advertised on the Indeed website. I am a graduate of Media Technology and Production with a 2.1 B.Sc (Hons) degree obtained at the University of Bradford. I have varied work experience and possess the skills required to be successful in the workplace. I have a good range of Media experience obtained mainly as a result of studying towards my degree. However other Media experience was obtained through voluntary work. Some of the experiences I possess include camera operation and excellent level of video editing using different software some of which include the Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Composer, Sony Vegas and many more.
I have the ability to clearly tell stories in a creative way using videos that are appealing to the eyes as well as working with client brief based on their requirements. I also have basic experience in the use of Adobe After Effects. Furthermore, I possess the skills to work to very tight deadlines and still produce the desired final video product for clients. I own a DSLR Cannon 650d camera and tripod. Whilst at University, I also developed the skills and ability to write scripts, film, direct and edit footage to produce a high quality end results. I also have experience with both filming and editing multi camera shots.
I am dedicated to duty and I am an effective team worker who can develop strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and managers alike. I can also adhere strictly to office procedures and I understand the need to confidentiality in handling clients email and other office matters. I also have the ability to multi-task and also prioritize the work that needs to be done to make sure that I meet the deadlines. I am also very coach-able and open to learning new things and new ways of working.
With my skills and experience, I know I can deliver exceptional services to the best of my ability for this company. I am really passionate about video editing and I love being able t help people achieve their video production needs and give utmost commitment and dedication to my work. Furthermore I know with my exceptional communication skills, I will be able to handle clients appropriately, professionally, effectively and efficiently.
