ABOUT
Stacy’s Pita Chips continues its legacy of championing women entrepreneurs through RISE, a short film directed by Nisha Ganatra with original poetry by Rupi Kaur along with the launch of the 2022 Stacy’s Rise Project. Stacy’s teamed up with some of today’s most renowned storytellers to share the journeys of powerful women of yesterday and today, illustrating their ups and downs – because no journey to success is linear.
Tapping Nisha Ganatra, an award-winning Canadian-American filmmaker of Indian descent, to direct the short branded film RISE, Stacy’s commitment to empowering female creators is evident both in front of and behind the camera. Alongside Ganatra’s direction, the film will feature words by best-selling poet Rupi Kaur, enriching the film’s scenes with an original poem inspired by the founders and Stacy’s greater mission to help women rise.
To further bring this message to life, Stacy’s partnered with the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, where they screened RISE at the “Stacy’s Roots to Rise Market” in Park City — shining even more light on the exceptional women filmmakers and entrepreneurs
