In a commercial for the international market, the land of grand design and powerful crafts it had to be all about the appeal and the aesthetics and performance.
In an “activation day” test, 3 drivers were chosen to perform the new full control wheel system which allows them to drive tighter curves and more precise moves. For the parcour, the obstacles were mainly built in oversized glassware. But the challenge became perfect when we added the scenic lighting in the mapping projection as a pre-produced digital enhancement, but analoguely projected. So the drivers needed to react on real obstacles and surprising media projection.
A maze of glasses, vases, swinging chandeliers, the curves and roads and tunnels are build to dominate the challenges of a glass parcour, which our drivers master so gracefully.
All was planned precisely with the help of 3D pre-visualization and real test drives, but the drivers only got the final parcour presented in the illuminating light choreography in the black space. The circuit is inspired by the design language of the Renault Talisman, where all straight lines meet perfect curves.
