ABOUT
In celebration of easyJet's 20th anniversary, VCCP have launched the multi-media European campaign, "How 20 years have flown." The campaign aims to inspire the next generation of fliers and encourages customer to upload their own travel stories via social media marking 20 years of holidays and adventures shared.
The TV campaign directed by Mark Tibet, debuted in the UK during the opening of the Rugby World Cup. The advert charts the story of a couple who meet and fall in love whilst aboard an easyJet flight, with the passing of time demonstrated by a ferris wheel. It signifies moments in their lives such as falling in love, having a child and going on holidays with their daughter. The cycle then begins to repeat as their now grown up daughter sits next to another man at the end of the advert, proving that the more things change, the more they truly remain the same such as with easyJet.
Furthermore for the first time, easyJet has released a TV advert on social media. The advert which was originally broadcast in 1995 offers £29 flights, "costing the same as a pair of jeans", signifying that although twenty years have flown by, easyJet's commitment to price and affordable flights remains as strong as ever.
Alongside the TV campaign, customers are also invited to share their own travel stories by uploading and sharing their most loved and cherished European holiday photographs from the past twenty years via the webpage and social media. The photos will then be used to create a mosaic to be released on November the 10th.
