ABOUT

Anako Aps and Woodly launch the new version of emergency cradles.
The project initially born to help refugees, women and children, caused by the war in Ukraine, became global in 2023, the success of the initiative with about 800 cradles shipped to various hospitals and assistance centers in Ukraine, confirmed the validity of the idea and its application in the field.

In March 2023, the emergency cradles left for Turkey and Syria, to bring a little help to the victims of the earthquake, sent thanks to the collaboration of Seirs Yellow Cross.
Next stop, Peru where in collaboration with the Apurimac ETS Association
the cradles will be sent, more precisely, to refugee camps fleeing the crisis in Venezuela.

*As a further development of the project, we are organizing together with the Peruvian company "Ingeniería en Cartones y Papeles S.A.C." the production of cradles directly in Peru, reducing costs and times. Thanks to the collaboration with Apurimac, we could, using Peru as a base, ship them throughout Latin America.
A new concept of bringing help, sending drawings and instructions, and creating the necessary objects directly on site.

The updated version of the cradle has undergone small improvements, modified graphics and texts for a more "Global" understanding and the possibility of mounting a mosquito net to protect the newborn from insects.

The desire to help these people through the use of our professional skills (Design and knowledge of the baby furniture sector) are the motivations that led to the development of this project.

We have designed a 70x43xh27 reinforced cardboard cradle, which takes advantage of the concept of self-assembling boxes, which do not require gluing or anything else.
A simple but functional object, with its mattress along with other things useful for managing a newborn.

As a further feature, inspired by the traditional Ukrainian cradle (in wicker, suspended with ropes), we have inserted fabric straps that allow you to keep it raised from the floor. The ribbons are joined with simple quick-release plastic buckles.
In this way, if you have the possibility, you can hang the cradle, alternatively by shortening the ribbons you can use it as a handle for easier transport.
The folded cradle is placed in a simple cardboard box, together with a series of items useful for managing a baby.
