The Florist Room is a boutique flower shop in Doha, Qatar.

The tradition of gifting flowers, introduced by the exquisite ballerina Maria Taglioni, dates back to the 19th century.
It tells the story of her being admired by everyone, but only 1 man truly impressed her when he started gifting her baskets of colorful flowers.

The heart warming tradition of gifting flowers as an expression of admiration, love and respect dates back all the way to the 19th century. At that time, an exquisite ballerina named Maria Taglioni was an inspiration of beauty, grace and elegance, she was followed, adored and admired by all. Men gifted her all kinds of luxurious expensive gifts that every girl could only dream of. Yet, this was not what her heart truly desired. Until the day came when a man finally impressed her truly & stole her heart by gifting her a basket of delightfully colorful flowers. This has ever since remained a tradition of a beautiful gesture and a sign of thoughtfulness, care and appreciation.
