ABOUT

Brief: A personal app I’ve been working on in my spare time. Having many friends who travel a lot for work I realised many travel often to
destinations they are unfamiliar with. Often they spent much of their time abroad trying to find information regarding transportation, cash points, weather and currency. I wanted to build an app that will include all this relevant information .

What I did: I started off interviewing my users. I was interested in what type of information they were looking for while abroad, as well as destinations and how they find it. From the data collected I prioritised the most common information into categories. Users can shift, add or remove a category to their liking, add specific service or information to their favourites and save some information offline to avoid streaming. The app uses location services to update its local information.

Challenges: As my users travel frequently and to many destinations the challenge was to be able to interview them (many were via skype). The variety of information each user required was what drove me to make the app
customisable.

Outcome: An initial prototype for IOS 6 which is now being updated to IOS 7 and should be
tested again as some flows have changed.
