ABOUT
CONCEPT AND BACKGROUND
Following its rebrand from TravelPerk to Perk, the AI-native travel and spend management platform wanted to launch its first-ever CTV campaign and introduce its expanded offering. The campaign marked Perk’s evolution beyond travel, highlighting its broader mission to use AI to eliminate hidden, time-wasting work and give teams time back for higher-value tasks. Working with Untold Fable and AnalogFolk, the campaign needed to establish Perk as more than a travel platform by highlighting the hidden burden of “shadow work”, everyday admin tasks that cost businesses $1.7 trillion annually and prevent employees from focusing on meaningful work. To make this invisible problem impossible to ignore, the campaign imagined an alternate history where some of the world’s greatest breakthroughs never happened because iconic innovators were distracted by tedious admin. Untold Fable was tasked with producing a bold, cinematic film that balanced humour with historical authenticity, creating a premium campaign to launch Perk’s new brand platform across international markets.
EXECUTION AND RESULTS
Untold Fable managed the production from end to end, bringing together exceptional creative talent from its global network to realise the ambitious concept. Working alongside award-winning director Femi Oludigbolu, the team recreated multiple historical periods through meticulous production design, costume and makeup. These were then combined with seamless visual effects delivered by Coffee & TV. Alongside the hero 60-second film, Untold Fable also produced campaign photography and bespoke original music, creating a cohesive suite of assets for rollout across CTV, digital and social channels in the UK, Germany and the US.
THE TALENT
Untold Fable assembled a specialist team from its global network, led by award-winning South London writer-director Femi Oludigbolu. Femi’s experience crafting culturally resonant, performance-led narratives enabled him to bring humour and cinematic scale to a concept that reimagines history’s greatest innovators being derailed by everyday admin. The production also featured an experienced period costume and makeup department with credits including The Crown and Pride and Prejudice, ensuring each historical era felt authentic. Coffee & TV delivered sophisticated VFX that enhanced the practical effects, while composer Ife Ladi created an original score that reinforced the film's cinematic tone.
