A short documentary created from a live brief for Contact Theatre in Manchester, as part of my postgraduate degree. In a group of 4, we created a short documentary charting the progress of There Is A Light, a theatre show about dealing with cancer. The company brought in cast members who themselves had suffered from cancer, which gave us an interesting angle for us to explore. How did working on this show affect them? Did it help?

As the filming was over two months and featured an entire theatre company, finding a clear throughline as an editor was a challenge that I embraced. I am happy with the finished product based on the footage provided by the director and I believe is to be an entertaining and interesting project about finding strength and positivity through hardship.
