Despite joint sustained efforts by Government ministries to provide inclusive education for every child, children with disabilities and special needs continue to be among the most excluded from quality early learning and support in Bulgaria. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated this situation, with specialists seeing a drop in the number of children they were able to work with remotely.

UNICEF Bulgaria, in partnership with The Ministry of Education and Science, engaged Despark to build the Help Me Thrive platform: an online hub for learning for children with disabilities and special needs, their carers and the specialists supporting them.
