ABOUT
Context
The Riesling Generation was created as the first professional initiative in Hungary to unite wineries around a shared generational and regional identity within the Balatonfüred–Csopak Historic Wine Region. The challenge was to establish a coherent strategic framework that could align multiple independent stakeholders and position the region as a distinctive destination.
Approach
I developed the core strategic concept, focusing on building a collective brand identity rooted in regional heritage, contemporary wine culture and generational renewal. The goal was to move beyond individual winery communication and create a unified platform combining brand, tourism and community.
Execution
The work included defining the brand identity, communication framework and go-to-market strategy, as well as designing a mid-term wine tourism roadmap for the region. I coordinated collaboration between wineries, gastronomy partners and tourism institutions, aligning diverse stakeholders into a shared direction. I also conceptualized and led the flagship event Riesling Spring, creating a high-impact platform to activate the brand and engage both professional and consumer audiences.
Results
The initiative successfully established a new level of cooperation within the region, strengthening its identity and visibility. It created a scalable platform for long-term brand building and tourism development, positioning the Balatonfüred–Csopak region as a cohesive and recognisable wine destination.
