Documentary short about old clocks and clockmakers like Monpazier’s horologer, Marc.
Shot in the beautiful village of Monpazier in the French Dordogne, the documentary questions whether clockmakers will survive as clocks and watches are replaced by electronic ones embed in telephones computers and public displays.
The film is accompanied by a music track recorded on a electric organ in 1924 and recorded in wax cylinder. Crackly but pertinent to the clocks and their history as analogue recording and reproducing devices have been replaced by electronic ones.
