What does it take to create a high-end, cinematic commercial today?
A large crew, expensive locations, and heavy production setups?
Maybe yes, maybe not necessarily.
For our latest project with Dinamik Otomotiv, we set out to challenge that idea, producing an epic, story-driven commercial with a team of just four people, by blending traditional filmmaking with AI-powered workflows.
We call it: Hybrid Filmmaking.
Starting with a Spark
The foundation of the project goes back to a concept we’ve explored before:
“Every journey begins with a spark.”
In earlier films, this spark gave birth to characters like Kraftvoll and Braxis, robotic entities formed from atmospheric explosions, eventually converging around the central figure of Dinamik Man.
This time, however, we asked a different question:
What if we went back to the very beginning?
Dinamik Otomotiv itself started as a small workshop in Sakarya, Türkiye. So instead of expanding the universe outward, we traced it back to its origin visualizing the moment where everything began.
A lightning strike hits the workshop.
Energy forms.
And Dinamik Man is born.

One of the biggest challenges we faced was the location itself.
The workshop had almost no usable natural light, and bringing in large-scale lighting equipment wasn’t an option.
So we took an unconventional approach.
Using imagery sourced from Google Maps, we reconstructed the environment and enhanced the lighting through AI, creating a dramatic and cinematic atmosphere that would have otherwise required a full production setup.
For the interior scenes, we relied on simple yet effective techniques:
a blue RGB tube light to simulate energy-based lighting, and small green markers to simplify the VFX tracking process.

Minimal setup. Maximum control in post.
Rebuilding Winter with AI
Another challenge was timing.
The concept required snowy, cinematic environments but production took place well outside of winter.
Instead of searching endlessly for locations that didn’t exist, we looked inward.
We analyzed the brand’s previous content and discovered a usable truck shot. From a single frame, we generated a series of cinematic visuals using AI tools, transforming a static image into a dynamic sequence that matched the film’s tone.

This allowed us to maintain visual consistency while expanding the scope of the story without the need for reshoots or large-scale production logistics.
A Connected Universe
To maintain continuity with previous films, we reintroduced Kraftvoll and Braxis, integrating them into the narrative and reinforcing a unified story world.

This wasn’t just a commercial, it was part of an evolving universe.
The Power of Hybrid Filmmaking
At its core, this project is about rethinking how stories can be produced.
Hybrid filmmaking is not about replacing traditional methods, it’s about extending them.
It’s about using AI not as a shortcut, but as a creative partner. With a small, focused team, we were able to achieve a level of scale and visual impact that would typically require significantly larger resources.
And that’s the real takeaway:
Limitations don’t reduce creativity, they redefine it.
