ABOUT

Objective: The goal of this project was to create a series of sensitive and emotive videos to encourage individuals to leave a gift in their will to St Oswald's Hospice. These gifts help fund the hospice’s vital work supporting patients and their families.

Approach: We captured authentic stories by filming interviews with real families, volunteers, and staff members, who shared their personal experiences with the hospice. This involved building trust and creating a comfortable environment for participants to open up about their emotional journeys.

The production process also involved:

Extensive Pre-Production: Careful planning with the hospice team to identify the right participants and stories that could resonate with the audience.
Collaborative Filming Process: We worked closely with the hospice to ensure that the tone, music, and content were in line with the sensitivity required for the subject. This included collaborating with focus groups to ensure the messaging was appropriate and respectful.
Challenges: Working on such a sensitive topic required us to manage the emotional nature of the interviews delicately. We ensured that everyone involved felt supported throughout the process.

Outcomes: The resulting videos were part of a larger campaign aimed at changing perceptions of legacy giving and encouraging people to consider leaving a gift to the hospice in their wills. The videos successfully conveyed the compassion and support offered by St Oswald's, highlighting how legacy gifts help continue this vital work.

The hospice praised the final deliverables for their emotional impact, professionalism, and for handling such a sensitive topic with care.
