ABOUT
Objective: The purpose of this project was to create a high-quality 3D animation that demonstrated the unique selling points and performance of the Norton Razorstar®, a breakthrough engineered shaped ceramic grain designed for abrasive belts, fibre discs, and backup pads. The video was aimed at both internal marketing teams and external customers to educate them on the product’s advantages and cost-efficiency.
Approach: We focused on delivering a concise, visually engaging 3D technical showcase that effectively illustrated the product's features and benefits. Key aspects of the project included:
3D Asset Modelling & Animation: Detailed 3D models were created to showcase the Norton Razorstar® in action. The animation highlighted the grain's cutting capabilities, fracturing process, and superior performance compared to competitor products.
Product Demonstration: The animation provided a clear visual comparison between Razorstar® and standard abrasives, using close-up shots and a machine-mounted belt demonstration to showcase its precision and durability.
Multi-language Distribution: To support Saint-Gobain’s global outreach efforts, the animation was translated into 8 different languages for international distribution, ensuring that the product’s message could reach a wide, diverse audience.
Challenges: The main challenge was to accurately represent the technical specifications of the product in a way that was easy to understand while maintaining visual appeal. Translating the content into multiple languages required precise coordination to ensure the messaging remained consistent and accurate across all versions.
Outcomes: The animation was widely praised by Saint-Gobain for its ability to distil complex technical details into an engaging visual narrative. It successfully demonstrated the product’s cutting-edge features and long-term cost benefits, making it a valuable marketing tool.
The multi-language translation further extended the video’s reach, enabling Saint-Gobain to use the content in international markets. The project highlighted Turps Film's ability to deliver technically intricate content for global distribution while ensuring consistency and clarity across multiple languages.
