ABOUT

The brief was to design a Christmas direct mailer for The Body Shop that felt festive, tactile, and on-brand - with the aim of driving both in-store visits and online purchases. The concept took inspiration from a cosy, gift-filled Body Shop store, reimagined through hand-drawn illustrated shelves. The idea was to capture the joy of browsing for the perfect gift, with a whimsical, illustrated twist.

Illustrated shelves were filled with hero products, bestsellers, and festive favourites, each drawn with charm and arranged to guide the reader’s eye naturally across the spread. Soft textures, a warm colour palette, and handwritten-style typography added to the seasonal, handcrafted feel. Key offers and product highlights were integrated into the design using custom icons and overlays, ensuring the mailer was both beautiful and commercially effective.

The Christmas mailer stood out for its originality and storytelling. It boosted engagement rates compared to previous campaigns and was praised internally for its creativity and alignment with the brand’s values. Customer feedback highlighted its collectable, keepsake quality and it contributed to a successful uplift in seasonal sales both in-store and online.
