To Whom It May Concern,
I was very excited to find out about the opportunity to apply for a writer position. For the last five years I have enjoyed creating many different types of video, photo and written content for a number of different newspapers and websites. I currently work for a local newspaper as a reporter, writer and news anchor. I also help them produce content for their social media pages and website. I have a passion for creating content and learning more about digital media and search engine optimization. I currently write for a couple of different clients creating content for their websites that is SEO friendly. I enjoy sports of all kinds and have written and reported on sporting events from high school sports to rodeos to outdoor recreational sports. I also enjoy writing all different types of news articles and practicing my journalism skills.
I think that my experience writing about outdoor activities and sports will help me succeed in this position. I have experience in providing well-written articles about many different subjects. I feel that I have a good knack for making articles sound interesting and captivating.
One thing about me that you will not find on my resume is that I am an avid outdoor enthusiast. I spend most of my free time in the outdoors of Colorado doing things like camping, hiking, rock climbing, fishing, etc. I am always looking to try new fun and exciting outdoor adventures.
