Concept
For this brief I decided to re-design Frontline graffiti magazine as I felt that the current branding and layout was dated. In my research it became obvious that due to recent urban ‘cool’ trends, graffiti has become more accepted but also slightly plasticised. Legal walls and murals have taken away what graffiti is really about. Not just style, but timing and location.
Solution
Due to the fact that graffiti has a short life, for each issue the logo will be redesigned. The fact that graffiti has been ‘plasticised’ over the years led me to creating a clean, simple and minimal layout with the idea of showing graffiti as the typographic art form that it is.
