Here’s a new logo I designed for Tanktop films. the ‘riotous brainchild’ of Rolfin Nyhus, Paul Sandell and Aneet Nijjar. The brief was to create something iconic, simple and geometric – inspired by 60s and 70s modernist film studio identities. I drew each of the letters and created a tower from them, which makes me think a little of vintage signage cinema. I’ve also animated the logo to spell out the name in smaller digital spaces. The logo is shown both on white and on an ever changing spectrum of light colours.

For Tanktop’s first short film, Two Down, I’ve also designed a quad poster and social media assets using multiplied stills from the film, the Tanktop logo, the light colour backgrounds and the wonderful 93 extra black extended weight of Univers for titling and copy. You can see the results here.
