ABOUT

This map was created for an exhibition at St Margaret’s Church of Art in Norwich. Over the years I’ve done a lot of research into England’s folktales, superstitions and
traditions and these subjects have found their way into much of my personal work. Creating an illustrated map of England seemed like a great way to incorporate all of the legends I’d read about (or at least as many as possible) into one image.

I’m now planning a more in-depth exploration of British folklore, this time in the form of a book, in which I plan to map each county individually. This will allow me to get much more in-depth with my presentation of the legends and add more markers, many of which had to be cut from this version due to time constraints and a lack of space on the map.
