About me
I am formally applying for the Packaging Designer position with Bluesky designs advertised on creativepool.co.uk
I have recently completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Product Design and Technology at Loughborough and would like to make the best use of the skills developed during my time at university. Please find attached my up to date CV and a sample portfolio of my work.
Although I am a product design student, as a Bsc I have undertaken modules in electronics, mechanics and manufacturing processing.
Some of the relevant skills I have gained from these modules are risk management, Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA), Product development and software/system design (in C, C++, Visual studios and PIC embedded systems)
As a new graduate I am eager to gain relevant design experience and apply the knowledge from my university studies into a work situation. I aspire to make a career in product design that allows me to be involved in the various different stages in a products development. I feel a role such as this where I am given the opportunity to demonstrate my skill can help me achieve this.
Over the past five years, I have become proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS4 on a Windows platform. I am also experienced in Adobe INDesign and Adobe Flash. Other notable programs in my skill set are CAD modellers ProE/Unigraphics NX5 and rendering software Alias Image Studio and Keyshot.
I am able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and ensure that the work produced is to a high standard
I enjoy working in a creative team and have the ability to communicate ideas and opinions to managers and colleagues alike. As such, I believe I can make a significant contribution to your design team.
My CV and sample portfolio are attached, furthermore I am able to bring a complete portfolio to an interview if necessary and I look forward to the opportunity to do so.
Yours Sincerely
