ABOUT

I worked with fellow designer Rob Pearce on a commission for the Churches Conservation to illustrate and design a construction hoarding for the multi million pound regeneration of St Nicholas Church in Kings Lynn, the largest chapel in England.

We decided to use the hoarding to highlight the themes of community, as it has been refurbished as a community space, and collaboration between members of the Kings Lynn community and external sponsors such as the National Lottery Fund who joined forces to complete the work.

This was achieved by integrating the logos of the sponsors into the artwork of the hoarding rather than keeping them separate in the layout. The artwork, depicting the inside of the chapel being visited by the community, also celebrates the refurbishment of the space by placing workmen in saintly poses in the stained glass artwork.
