Hi,

I'm a UI/UX designer living in Twickenham, London, with over 10 years experience (about half of that in ecommerce) working with some fantastic companies. I live for better design!

I'm currently working for Dorling Kindersley, where I began by redesigning their website with the aim of improving the browsing experience to better show off their fantastic books. Conversions have increased by 79% on the website since I joined, using my experience of knowing both how people use websites and shop online. There's so much left to improve that I feel like we've only scratched the surface. We're in the process of performing more user testing (on top of A/B testing) right now to really gather an deeper understanding of our users to know what they want and need. We're also in the process of making the website more inspirational.

I've previously worked for Secret Sales which has now gone on to attract 5.5m registered users and become a major player in the discount designers goods industry. One of the first things I did when I joined was to help increase their registration conversion rate by 30% by redesigning their signup flow, which was an important step at the time, as you had to register in order to see any products (a restriction they wisely removed later). I also redesigned their site to be responsive right on the cusp of the responsive design movement. Secret Sales was the first in their industry to do so.

I also used to work for TUI Travel, where I redesigned websites of major established brands such as Thomson and First Choice focusing on creative design, user interfaces and user experiences.
