About me

My Masters degree at Bournemouth University Media School has greatly broadened my knowledge of both the creative and technical sides of the industry, whilst building on my skills with different editing platforms including Avid Media Composer, Xpress Pro and Final Cut Pro. The course is both academically and practically challenging, with modules including Editing Techniques, that focuses on editing for both long and short form media platforms; this has enabled me to develop professional, industry standard skills in planning and workflow whilst developing my own, original style. The Editing Technology module has given me a greater understanding of current IT development that is expected from a professional editor, whilst Narrative study has helped me establish a social, cultural and intellectual context to my production work.

The Masters at Bournemouth is a Skillset Screen Academy Course, and is aligned and supported by the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice. After completing my degree, I will also be an Apple accredited Final Cut Pro User.

I have hands-on filmmaking experience from studying a six-week course at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, where I was required to write, produce, direct and edit four short films shot on 16mm. I also undertook crew roles as assistant camera and director of photography on other students' films. The course gave me an invaluable insight into the filmmaking process and the Hollywood Film industry
