About me

I am a knitter by nature; and in the past I have challenged what a textile is; playing with non-textile materials to create texture within the materials that will construct pieces for interior. Currently I am working on recycling from an old leather sofa for a garment. I also wish to continue with my knitting and apply for sponsorship with Swarovski.

I love to use completely unconventional materials to work with my knitting. Pvc sleeving, fishing wire, rope and plastic are all favourites of mine.

I am pushing boundaries of what knitting can be, by disputing the conception of ideas, choosing diverse materials to work with and testing them to push them to do things perhaps not originally designed to do. Instead of making traditional knitting I am continuously trying to re-invent the context, and creating knitted wallpaper, make feminine unfeminine and unmasculise masculine.
