I worked on White Dwarf magazine for just over two years. Working on a monthly magazine is a constant battle with deadlines and aspirations often clashing, but I’m happy to say we never missed a deadline in that time.
In addition to developing my design and layout skills, I was responsible for a great deal of the photography in any given issue, and spent a lot of time developing and refining things that would go on to become regular features or highlights (one of my favourites being the ‘centrefold’ style adverts for Forge World’s largest kits).
I oversaw the switch from Quark Xpress to InDesign, transferring all templates and assisting the team of 3 designers, several localisation teams and 4 writers/editors in getting to grips with the new software.
