Mr Mac Art is the brand of a liquid artist (someone who works with acrylic paints in their liquid state, rather than with brushes) in Croydon. They were just getting started on Instagram and were keen to establish a logo that could be used as a watermark on their posts, as well as something that could be used in a more traditional sense.
We started with a pair of Ms in various layouts and designs, but I saw the opportunity to link the concept back into the medium they work in - the logo is an abstract M, formed by a stream of paint pouring down from the top and spreading out slightly where it hits the bottom of the logo (or canvas), as can be seen in images to the right.
