About me
I consider myself to be hardworking, reliable & trustworthy. I am capable of managing my time well, working as an individual but also within a team environment. I combine these with good organisational & communication skills.
During my time at Leeds University I have:
. Completed modules which have developed my problem solving, time-management, teamwork, research & written, verbal & visual communication skills.
. Produced my own photographic work for a number of projects over the 3 year course, using both SLR & Digital cameras.
. Gained practical experience with: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator & Quark Xpress.
During my time at University I also worked as a volunteer for the student newspaper. I helped with the layout and arrangement of articles & photographs within the publication using Quark Xpress and Adobe Photoshop.
It has always been an ambition of mine to travel around the world. I have achieved this goal over the past year by backpacking across Asia, Australia & New Zealand. Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, I found that it encouraged & improved many skills. Organisation & planning ahead were essential to travel, as was researching via primary & secondary resources, i.e. talking to locals & other travellers, using the internet & reading books & guides. My communication skills were also improved, along with the ability to quickly adapt to different cultures & to find common ground with people from all walks of life.
