ABOUT

The challenge

Vocational skill development in India was fragmented, inaccessible, and built for the already advantaged. LinQSkills had a bolder vision: to take skills and livelihood opportunities to the hardest-to-reach corners of India, including extremism-affected, remote, and economically backward areas.

The platform needed to serve candidates, trainers, businesses, sponsors, and admins, each with fundamentally different needs, across multiple languages, devices, and connectivity conditions.

What we did
Think Design built a unified vocational training platform with a consistent experience across all stakeholder groups.
- Candidates could enrol, learn across online and offline channels, and earn industry-recognised certifications.
- Businesses could publish courses, train teams, and onboard talent.
- Trainers could deliver content and track batch performance in real time.

The design prioritized simplified onboarding, reduced dropout through improved engagement, and ensured the platform remained device-agnostic and multilingual to serve users regardless of background or geography.

The result
- 2.9 million people trained
- 22 states reached.
- 1,700+ hiring partners connected to skilled candidates, many of whom are first-time entrants into the formal workforce.
