To celebrate IKEA’s 40th Birthday in Australia, we turned the catalogue (one of the world’s most popular publications) into a historical document. We created a 40th Birthday edition featuring IKEA room sets from 1975 to 2015. The catalogue became a nostalgic trip that reminded people of their childhood home, apartment and family home – but ultimately shared their experience of IKEA over the last 40 years in Australia. Needless, to say, we ran out.
