The Smalls came to me with a project for HelloFresh. The brief - they wanted to create a mini mockumentary series where a famous comedian interviewed three families about how HelloFresh has helped them.
I took that concept and wrote and directed the films. Taking inspiration from Modern Family, I wanted everything to add humour to the film, from the script to the camera work through to editing and the performances from the acting talent.
As part of that, I had rehearsals ahead of the shoot day with our actors to ensure that the jokes were as funny as they could be.
