ABOUT
I shoot my Hasselblad Xpan as an 'outdoor-locations' camera primarily. Sadly, I find it more a hassle (pun intended) than a pleasure to work with –it can be a bit of a nuisance because the viewfinder is just that; it only points toward your scene approximately. It's in the final handprint where the true reward comes to life. I do struggle to shoot casual photographs; the XPan demands previsualization with a clear intent of subject choice. This process/challenge of planning the shoot is why I have grown fond of my XPan, it wants my undivided attention...
(Digital Scans of the film were faithfully mastered by John Rivett, MasterPrint–Digital, Cape Town. South Africa.
