Why 'Street' and not 'Candid' Photography?

Obviously, a ‘street’ need not to appear in all your photographs. However, your creative response must draw your viewer to pay attention to the content/action in the shot. My role as author is to make sure I convince viewers that it appeared only for an instant! And, obviously, the subject was not aware of me shooting. (There was one pedestrian who barked at me!)

It goes without saying that your photographs must be entertaining – not just a 'point-and-squirt' hoping for the best result. In this showcase of images, I have purposefully elected full colour originals even though 90% of my fine art work is strictly shot on Black & White Film, delivering limited edition Silver-Gelatin handprints for exhibiting.

I trust you will enjoy my ‘stab’ at this unique & often challenging genre of interpretive photography...
