What is Monochromatic Colour?
When photographs are governed, or taken with a ‘spectral colour’ in mind or, ‘hue’ we artists refer to this as, “Monochromatic colour’… Monochromatic 'colour schemes' provide opportunities in art and photography a greater range of tones that can be used to attract attention, set an ambience or convey a sense of calm. I have shot these images aimed at the specific requirements of the décor, interior design and architectural industries in mind. Wallpaper murals are a prime example; from floor to ceiling they bring the outdoors indoors, office receptions, boardrooms or as ‘comfort’ murals in hospital wards, especially for kiddies…
And they're fun to shoot.
