ABOUT

The idea - a fresh and dynamic take on staff development, with a range of online programmes designed to be flexible and relevant for any business and employee experience level.

We started out by creating mood boards and a brand scale, using non-industry brands to gauge the type of look and feel that was right for the brand. From here we moved to concepting. Phil chose his preferred route straight away, with very little refinement required.

The HPA arrow was created to serve as the brand's iconic visual anchor, giving the brand the ability to continue to express itself in a near-infinite fashion.

We also created a suite of icons for the range of programmes, making them easy to differentiate and navigate. Each training module capitalises on the illustration's ability to visually communicate and support each of the themes unique characteristics.

It was also essential that we capture and retain a sense of movement for every supporting illustration, so that the energy of the brand would successfully translate for print.

Next, we designed and built the WordPress website that formed the front end of the platform delivering the online learning. The online solution needed to be both informative and inspirational in equal measure.

It goes without saying that the user journey, as with all of our clients, was put under the microscope in order to maximise the all-important conversion rate. We also focused on mobile design for the site to ensure it delivered the online experience as well as the desktop version.

With High Performers Academy now live, we are continuing to work with the brand, rolling out the branding and creative across digital and printed collateral such as reports and study packs.

Creative director at The Armoury, Lee Turner, said, “Phil's five core coaching pillars were critical in identifying and establishing a range of concept themes, each playing to their individual strengths and qualities. However, much like coaching, the challenge was to create a piece of communication that would speak effectively to a very diverse customer base. With inclusivity in mind, we set out to create a brand that embodied a much wider appeal than originally anticipated, and set the foundations for a brand that could also adapt and move with the times in the future.”

Phil Budd said, "An agency that believes in its creativity and sticks to its convictions about what they believe is right for you and your brand, The Armoury was excited about our project and 'got' us and our message.

The team we worked with, whose values aligned with ours, were bright, smart, and fun and I enjoyed our calls and meetings. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them. A huge thank you."
