Adaptable

I constantly challenge myself to see things from a fresh and new perspective as when working at Insight Communications where I created ideas and wrote award-winning media copy (for television, radio, outdoor and print media) which sold a diverse range of brands and services.

The result was increased sales of clients' products and services across industries including Hospitality and Leisure, Information Technology, Interior Furnishings, Banking and Finance etc.

This was followed by campaigns which not only won prestigious advertising industry awards but also promotion into Senior Copywriter, Assistant Manager, Copy and Concepts as well as Principal Manager, Copy positions across a number of BSB, Grey Advertising and Publicis-affiliated marketing communications agencies.

Committed

I conceptualised and wrote several campaigns which were published in national and local media for a combined total of seven years working on brands such as the McAfee PC software suite, Federal Palace Hotel and Casino, Soft Solutions, Office and Home Environment and so forth.

Resilient

I worked my way up to managerial level through outstanding concept creation and copywriting (including proof-reading) within Publicis/Grey-affiliated full service marketing communications agencies.

I have also met and exceeded deadlines at work and while studying at undergraduate and postgraduate levels graduating twice; first with a Bachelors (BA Honours) degree in English and then with a ProfGCE (Professional Graduate Certificate in Education) from Lagos State University and the University of Greenwich respectively and in the face of personally challenging circumstances.

Thoughtful

I achieved an outstanding overall grade in my Professional Development Record (Portfolio) at the University of Greenwich due to evidence of deep reflection and thorough application of mentor/tutor feedback following which I successfully graduated with a dual (ProfGCE) and Diploma in Teaching English within the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) qualification while specialising in Literacy and English for Speakers of Other Languages.
