PROBLEM

Dog Trailer with sleeping area was created as a result of the observed problems among people traveling with the so-called working dogs, i.e. people who are training dogs or those who are taking part in competitions or emergency services.
1. technical - staying with a dog for even a few days in an area where access to accommodation facilities is difficult
2. emotional - separation from dogs that are often not allowed to lodge

THE CONTEXT OF USING THE TRAILER

• Areas without road infrastructure - forests, fields, muddy areas
• Areas without energy infrastructure - no lighting, no possibility to use electricity
• Difficult weather conditions - low and high temperatures, rainfall, strong wind
• Difficult emotional conditions - stress related to a rescue operation or participation in competitions, the need for a comfortable regeneration of human and dog strength / increasing human’s and dog’s stamina

PROCESS

The work process is a close co-op between the team and the producer. Initially, the problem and design challenge were defined. Field studies and observations were carried out, the market, trends and user expectations were examined. Concepts were then created to advance to the design and prototyping stage. From 2020, the trailer is constantly being improved to adapt it to the needs of users from all over the world.
