Heimat Berlin asked us to create a fantasy forest creature to be used in both animation and print for their client Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken.

The brief was open: the client had a few examples that they liked but no initial designs. Our illustrators began to concept the character and six weeks later, a team of seven Taylor James artists had created Stagley from concept to completion.

Stagley went through several rounds of character development with our 2D artists, then was passed to our 3D character team for modeling and sculpting--the antlers required a separate round of development. The client wanted a bright, well-groomed character, so we went with short fur with intricate, glowing veins throughout. Stagely brought his warm presence to print, online, and digital platforms.
