Germany’s most popular cola and orange soft drink, Mezzo Mix, has been a firm favourite since 1973. Brand awareness was high, but the brand’s look and feel failed to live up to Mezzo Mix’s iconic status. Our task was to rejuvenate this much-loved heritage brand sensitively, reassert its product quality, reinspire the hearts and minds of loyalists, and inject just the right mix of modernity with nostalgia to ensure Mezzo Mix appealed to a new generation too.

Mezzo Mix’s new design system introduces the fluid ribbon – a new distinctive asset that works both on and off pack to communicate ‘the mix’ in an effortlessly ownable way.

To mark 50 years of Mezzo Mix, we created a crafted asset for both on and off-pack as part of a broader celebratory campaign.
