ABOUT

Brand Identity for Intergenerational Venue

Task
For my final-year project, I developed a brand identity and campaign for a fictional venue aimed at connecting schoolchildren and seniors through creative and communicative activities. The goal was to address the growing disconnect between generations.

Challenge
The key challenge was designing something that would appeal to both age groups without relying on direct references to age. The visual system also needed to be highly legible and accessible, especially for older users.

Approach
Through visual research into learning environments, I noticed that colourful illustration is often used to createa friendly and engaging atmosphere. Duolingo served as a reference point for inclusive visual language that spans age groups.Exploring ideas around communication, I developed a logo based on quotation marks, which evolved into a visual identity featuring playful character illustrations representing conversation, connection, and diversity. I extended the identity into patterns, branded materials, and interior design concepts. The patterns were used to represent creativity and to give the brand a distinctive personality. The colour palette was chosen for high contrast to support visual accessibility.
To build awareness, I created a guerrilla marketing campaign using interactive pop-up installations that invited people to share personal wisdom. These moments were then turned into visual stories, encouraging engagement. The campaign used both physical and digital platforms to reach a wide audience across generations.

Software: Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Firefly
