ABOUT
This project involved designing the County’s strategy document for suicide prevention from 2024 to 2028. The strategy was jointly developed with local authorities, health bodies, community partners, and people with lived experience, and needed to balance sensitivity with clarity, data with humanity.

Key elements I designed worked on included:
An accessible layout: sections clearly delineated (vision, risk factors, guiding principles, commitments, action plan) so that readers can scan or dig in depending on their role.
Visual tools: infographics, charts, maps, and highlighted statistics to help surface data (e.g. suicide rates across districts, risk factor breakdowns) in an empathetic way that doesn’t overwhelm.

Colour and typography choices that support readability and reduce visual distress, balancing seriousness with hope.
Consistent use of lived experience voices, calls to action, and sign-posting to support services, so the document doesn’t just inform but also guides people to help and promotes community involvement.
The result is a strategy document that’s not only professionally robust (data-driven, multi-agency, forward-looking) but also deeply human: helping reduce stigma, making sure people know where to turn, and setting a practical roadmap for reducing suicide in Lincolnshire.
