ABOUT
Tracks Through Time invites visitors to reflect on their own journeys — past, present, and imagined — from everyday commutes to life-changing trips, from places left behind to destinations still dreamed of. The exhibition encourages moments of recognition and quiet memory: a familiar platform, a view from a window, the feeling of waiting, leaving, arriving or returning.
These journeys are not only about movement through space, but about movement through time and personal change. Travel becomes a way of marking life’s chapters — moments of departure, transition, loss, growth, and renewal. Whether shaped by routine or adventure, each journey leaves its trace, influencing how we see the world and how we see ourselves.
By reflecting on these shared experiences of travel, visitors are invited to consider how journeys shape identity, memory and belonging — how the places we pass through, the people we meet (or don’t), and the moments in between quietly shape who we become.
Through a combination of ink, watercolour, and mixed media, artist Tamar Reavenall captures the rhythm, motion and enduring spirit of the railway — each piece connecting eras through expressive detail and contemporary design.
